Live a simple, quiet, abiding life.

A Little More About Us

    • This is a tough one, but we have to go with 1 John. The way it talks about God’s love and how we’re called to love one another is something that keeps us coming back to it often.

      A close second is Ephesians!

    • The Celtic Way of Evangelism: How Christianity Can Reach the West…AGAIN by George G. Hunter III

    • A Diary of Private Prayer by John Baillie

    • Three Mile An Hour God by Kosuke Koyama

    • An Introduction to Prayer by Bishop Robert Barron

    • Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence

    • How to better live a simple, quiet, abiding life with Jesus.

    • How guided contemplative prayer roots and grounds our relationship with God.

    • How the Early Church operated and how that should influence our modern Church context. We have been incredibly formed by collectively studying Scripture, the spiritual disciplines, Early Church texts, Christianity’s Jewish roots, and Celtic Christianity’s monastic communities in the 400s planted by St. Patrick.

    • While we met and started dating as undergrad students at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), Kait is from Chicagoland and Hunter is a Florida native, but we both long for seasonal living in the Midwest.

    • Mackinac Island, Michigan is by far the COOLEST place we’ve gotten to visit. No vehicles allowed—just horses, bicycles, and all the fudge you can eat…

    • Just to name a few… Driving down the Pacific Coast Highway, seeing every National Park, and, if we’re being totally honest for Hunter, going to space.

    • For Kait, nothing can top the versatility and wonder (her exact words) of the potato. Just take a sec to think of all the ways you can prepare them—we’ll wait.

    • And for Hunter, let’s just say he’s in the top customer tier of every pizza app you can download.

    • Though we love dogs, but we are definitely cat people—just ask Ollie the cuddly orange tabby, and Milo, his brother who we’re pretty sure is a human disguised as a black cat…

(As we’re typing this, there may or may not be a fluffy orange kitty sitting on one of our laps.)

    • If Kait was in a room full of books with a fireplace and a window looking out on a rainy day, just try and stop her from reading every single one.

    • Hunter is a fan of drawing or playing the guitar on pretty much any day—but especially the rainy ones. Baking fresh bread is another go-to.
